I learned about TED (Technology Entertainment Design) after a large part of their diverse library showed up on Netflix. Each speaker is given a maximum of 18 minutes to speak. At the end of each year's conference, $100,00- $300,000 is given to select speakers to fulfill his/her vision. Past winners include Bono of U2 and Bill Clinton.
